Microsoft 365, Azure and Power Platform Development: Integrations and Custom Apps on the Microsoft Ecosystem

Many companies work on Microsoft 365 and Azure every day. We build custom applications, automations with the Power Platform and integrations that make your software talk to the Microsoft ecosystem you already use, without locking you into a single platform.

Development and Integrations on the Microsoft 365 and Azure Ecosystem

Microsoft 365, Azure and the Power Platform are the everyday working tools of a great many companies: email, documents, collaboration and, increasingly often, apps and automations. At Codebaker we don't sell licenses and we're not tied to a single vendor: we are a software house specialized in custom development that integrates your software with the Microsoft ecosystem when it's the right choice for your context. We build applications on Microsoft 365, automations with Power Automate, low-code apps with Power Apps and cloud services on Azure, keeping a cloud-agnostic approach with no technological lock-in.

Integrations and Development on Microsoft 365

We integrate your business management software, your custom applications and your processes with Microsoft 365: SharePoint for document management, Teams for collaboration, Outlook/Exchange for email and calendars, OneDrive for files. We build connectors to the Microsoft Graph APIs to read and write data in the client's 365 environment, automate document creation, sync master data and notify events directly in Teams channels. The goal is to make the systems a company already uses every day talk to each other, without forcing people to change tools.

Low-code apps with Power Apps and Power Automate automations

Power Apps and Power Automate Automations

We build business applications with Power Apps and automate workflows with Power Automate, leveraging the Microsoft 365 licenses many companies already own. From mobile data collection to request approvals, from automatic document generation to integration with external systems via API, the Power Platform makes it possible to digitalize processes quickly. When low-code reaches its limits, we complement Power Platform apps with custom development (Azure Functions, dedicated APIs) to handle complex logic, ensuring solutions that are scalable and maintainable over time.

Cloud development and migrations on Microsoft Azure

Cloud Development and Migrations on Azure

We design and develop cloud services on Microsoft Azure when the client has already invested in the Microsoft ecosystem or has a specific requirement: Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage and containers on Azure Kubernetes Service. We support companies in migrations to Azure and, where it makes sense, in hybrid integration between Azure and other providers. We stay cloud-agnostic: we recommend Azure where it is the right choice for the client's context, without forcing a technological lock-in.

Identity management and single sign-on with Microsoft Entra ID

Identity Management with Microsoft Entra ID

We integrate custom applications with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) for single sign-on, OAuth2/OpenID Connect authentication and centralized access management. For companies that already use Active Directory or Microsoft 365 as their identity source, we connect new software to the existing provider, avoiding duplicate credentials and simplifying the user experience. This expertise comes from our work on Identity and Access Management projects, where we handle the integration between custom IAM, Active Directory and Office 365 on a daily basis.

When Developing on the Microsoft Ecosystem Makes Sense

Not every company needs to develop on the Microsoft ecosystem, but for those who already use Microsoft 365 as their everyday platform, building on top of it is often the most efficient choice: people already know the tools, the licenses are partly already paid for and adoption of the new solutions is faster. The Power Platform makes it possible to digitalize processes in a few weeks, while Azure offers a complete cloud for those who have already made this strategic choice. Our role is to understand where low-code is enough and where custom development is needed instead, so as to build solutions that are solid and maintainable over time.

At the same time we stay honest about the limits: the Power Platform isn't the answer to every problem and Azure isn't always the best choice. When data sovereignty and native GDPR compliance matter, we propose the European cloud with our Scaleway consulting, while for broader automation needs we start from business process digitalization and from our custom web APIs to integrate any system. The goal is always the same: choosing the right technology for your business, not the one that ties you down the most.

Frequently Asked Questions about Microsoft 365, Azure and Power Platform

Is Codebaker a Microsoft partner or a developer that integrates Microsoft 365?

We are an independent software house: our core is custom software development and systems integration. We work on the Microsoft ecosystem — Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform and Entra ID — when the client already uses it or when it is the most suitable technology choice for their context. We don't sell Microsoft licenses and we stay cloud-agnostic: our value is making your software talk to the Microsoft tools you already use, not tying you to a single platform.

What can I do with the Power Platform using the Microsoft 365 licenses I already have?

Many Microsoft 365 licenses include usage rights for Power Apps and Power Automate for scenarios based on data within the 365 environment. With these tools you can create business apps (data collection, checklists, approvals) and automate repetitive workflows without major new software investments. We check together what is already covered by your licenses and where instead a dedicated Power Platform license or custom development is needed, so there are no surprises on costs.

Can I integrate my management software or custom software with SharePoint and Teams?

Yes. Through the Microsoft Graph APIs and the Power Platform connectors we connect your management software, ERP or custom software to SharePoint (document management), Teams (notifications and collaboration) and Exchange (email and calendars). We can automate document archiving, sync master data and customers, send notifications in Teams channels when business events occur, and create dashboards in Power BI on the data from your management software.

Do you develop on Azure or do you always recommend the European cloud?

We develop on Azure when the client has already invested in the Microsoft ecosystem or has a specific requirement, and we handle migrations and hybrid architectures to Azure. In parallel we propose Scaleway, a European provider with data centers in Milan, when data sovereignty and native GDPR compliance matter. We have no bias: we choose the infrastructure based on the use case, regulatory requirements and budget, explaining the pros and cons of each option.
